Welcome to the 2018 Annual Meeting

continued

We have an exciting opportunity this summer, we are looking for an office intern. We are looking for an applicant with self-motivation, strong work ethic, with interest in accounting and or business. The paid position will be forty-hour weeks with daytime hours. You will be assisting with phone calls, data entry, member engagement and general office engagement. This is an opportunity to learn a cooperative business model, with hands-on training. Come apply today and become a valued team member of your cooperative. Applications are available at office headquarters in Bigfor, Minn., or online.

As the days get nice and we start working out in the yard and fields, be sure to keep safety in mind. Power lines can be overhead, underground, and in the lake. You should use caution around all of them.

You might be planning on adding a couple of trees to your yard this summer, make sure to contact Gopher State One Call. They can be reached by dialing 811, or (800) 252-1166, and theyíre on the web at www.gopherstateonecall.org. This is a free service to you. If we have underground facilities in the area we will send someone out to locate them before you dig. This is also the law, more than that it is the safe, responsible thing to do.

I surely donít want anyone to get hurt around our powerlines. Please use caution and respect when dealing with power. We canít see power, if you find out itís there, it may be too late. Look up when youíre around the farm, if you have any questions please call the office or Gopher State One Call.

I hope everyone had a safe, fun, fishing opener. I didnít make it out on the water yet, this weekend Iím going to chase the elusive Lake Trout around. Thereís just something relaxing and surreal about getting together with friends at the lake, having the opportunity when that wall mounter is on the end of the line to askÖ Howís your knot tying ability? Did you change your line this year, it looks a little frayed? Itís all in good fun and itís more about fishing than catching anyway.
