9 Sweetgrass Chautauqua VII at Sand Lake Community Center, 6:30 p.m. Free. Four piano players at once, spoken word performances.
9,10,11 Koochiching County Fair at the Fairgrounds in Northome. 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday; 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Saturday: Parade 1 p.m. and fireworks at dock.
10 Bigfork Lions Club meets second Wednesday, 6 p.m. at golf course.
10 Northern Lights Trio/Piano Bar benefit concert at the Edge Center, 7 p.m.

31 Spring Lake Store hosts a Labor Day Weekend program, 1:30-4:30 p.m. Live music, History of the Spring Lake Store and a flea market.
