Deer River to Jesse Lake 69-kV transmission line rebuild and reroute

Great River Energy, wholesale power supplier to North-Itasca Electric Cooperative and Lake Country Power, is proposing to rebuild and relocate portions of its 69-kV transmission line between Deer River and Jessie Lake. Construction is scheduled for early 2025. As a landowner along the project corridor, you should have received a project notice in June and fact sheet detailing the project.

This rebuild and reroute is a critical upgrade for the area’s power supply and future growth. Construction will add lightning protection, improve year-round maintenance and emergency access and diminish environmental disturbance.
