Why my front load washer stinks – and how to fix it!

The odors come from mold and mildew. Front load washers are designed in a way that water easily gets trapped in the rubber gasket and becomes stagnant.

To help eliminate the smell there are a few things you can do:

1. Wipe the rubber gasket to get rid of any extra water, dirt or debris that might have got caught, after every use.

2. Clean your washing machine with baking soda, vinegar or washing machine cleaner.

3. Make sure you are using the proper soap for your machine.

4. Clean your washer at least once every 2-3 months.

5. Leave the washer open between washes, so it can dry out.
