Northome is the place for a county fair experience on August 7-9. It’s a county fair that has been running for 120 years!
There are no parking or admission fees; lots of food, garden produce, art and other displays, competitions and music. Please, no pets on the grounds. The Kids Party House Rides and Amusements will be one day only: 1-7 p.m. on Saturday. Highlights on Saturday are the parade, Sinkhole Scramble and the fireworks.
Parade contact is LaVon at (218) 244-8716. There is no pre-registration, arrive between 10 and 11 a.m. Categories are: Float, marching, equestrian, tractor and vintage car.
This year live music will headline the Jason Waldron Band on Friday, and After Five Hooley-gans and Blind Joe on Saturday.
Koochiching County residents and anyone within 25 miles of the Koochiching County line may enter in the Farm Market Garden Produce, Giant Pumpkin, Giant Zucchini and Flower Arrangements Competitions. Note that there are no distance restrictions for children 18 yrs. and under entering the Children’s Flower Arrangement Competition
